I think I remember you changing into a skirt in the car that time XE girls were coming back from the mtn house in GA, and we stopped by your parents’ house for lunch. I always wondered if you would ever wear pants in front of them now that you were a “big girl” & married. Guess I know now!

And I am terribly sorry to hear about Tom’s dad. Bad news never had good timing, but I am hopeful that you all will be able to enjoy this Christmas with peaceful hearts .

I completely remember you coming back from weekends at home during college with your skirt on! Didn’t I wear pants to your house the time I went? I’m surprised your dad liked me at all… :)
Too funny about Bobby. Hope those pulled muscles are feeling better and the bit tongue has healed nicely. :)
So very sorry to hear about Tom’s dad. Can’t think of a worse time of year (not that there’s ever a good time of year) to lose a parent.
And, you ain’t the only one in a crazy family. My mantra about where to spend the holidays? “Better here, than there”. Sad, isn’t it???

I am so sorry to hear about Tom’s father. Really sorry.

But, I hope in the light of it all, you can find less stress my not worrying so much about PAC! :)

Ahhh…much needed laughter!! First, Bobby biting his tongue and mistakenly thinking he punctured his lung…hilarious. Then your dad’s whole reaction (or lack there of) to you, Jen & Sue wearing pants. Ya’ll tip-toeing around completely sounds like me and my sisters…always tip-toeing around to make sure to keep the parents happy! You have no idea how much I needed those laughs!

Glad Bobby is really okay and that you don’t have to stress out about PAC anymore! I think it’s great that your Dad is open enought to say it’s between you and your husbands…just the way it should be!

I am sorry too to hear about Tom’s dad. It’s not fair.

As to the pants…one day you’ll have to tell me why they are considered devil’s britches, but I’m glad that you at least have one less thing on your plate to worry about now!

WOW. I mean, I’m not surprised that pants-wearing by females was forbidden (I’ve heard of a couple of churches that forbid that, not including mine, of course), but since you all have moved away from the religion of your upbringing, I had no idea you would still keep that up! That’s amazing! And his reaction is pretty hilarious.

I’m so sorry for your family’s loss. My brother in law just lost his father past month. He was only 59 years old. It was really hard to watch and relive all those moments again. My sister and her husband have 5 children. I felt for them too- both grandfathers gone now in such a short span of time.

I’m so glad Bobby’s alright! Poor guy! And, i’m cracking up at the PAC thing. I am not even sure the last time I wore a skirt was?
